Forgotten Masterpiece!

Wow two posts in one day I must be getting the hang of this blogging.
I have been reorganising my pictures on my computer and came across some images of a card I made last Christmas. I thought it worthy of posting as I had taken so many pictures.

I really love Magnolia Stamps they are so simple to colour, large open spaces, no complicated facial details and plenty scope for shading. My pen of choice this time was my Spectrum Noirs. It is so easy to achieve perfect blending and shading with these pens, the depth of the colour is amazing. I think the dotty effect on the fur on the coat and hat helps to give the image dimension. I decided to cut the images out and decoupage them at either side of the central image to give the whole illusion of depth again. It's not obvious from the photograph but I have added fluffy stuff from Woodware to make the tree and signpost look as if there real snow on them.

The finished Card!

Colouring with Copics

Another card that I have made using my Copic pens and a digi stamp from The Paper Shelter. The base for the card was cut on the Silhouette Cameo as was the labels and backing paper. The roses were cut with a Marianne Designs die from white card that I then coloured with the same colour copics so that they co-ordinated with the coloured image.

My daughter's birthday card!
I love these Magnolia stamps they are so simple to colour. As my daughter has recently developed a passion for patchwork I thought I would have a go at faux stitching on her card. The base and the banner were again cut on my Silhouette Cameo, it is so easy to design the entire card using the Silhouette's design software. I have wasted so much time and card in the past when embellishments are the wrong size and end up looking completely out of proportion.

Retirement Card

This card was made for a friend of a work colleague who is retiring,I was delighted with the end result. I was able to combine two passions - colouring with promarkers and using my new silhouette cameo which I love. The net was actually meant to be for a basketball imagw but I thought it really suited being a fishing net. The fine detail that the silhouette can cut is amazing.
